Patek Philippe Calatrava Travel Time 5034J-001.  34mm yellow gold case, with the lovely and distinctive hobnail bezel. Hand wound 215 PS FUS 24H Travel Time movement. White dial with black Arabic ‘Breguet’ numerals. Small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock and 24 hour sub-dial indicating ‘home-time’ with gold indicator (corresponding with the ‘home-time’ hour hand) at 12 o’clock. Black alligator strap with solid gold pin buckle.

Local-time (where the wearer is) is shown using black, leaf hands and home time (where the wearer normally lives) using a solid gold hand. Pushers on the left-hand side of the case allow the wearer to adjust their black, local-time hour-hand to a new time-zone, revealing a second (golden) hour-hand which remains exactly at the original home time. When local time is the same as home time, the golden hour-hand becomes completely hidden behind the solid black hour-hand leaving a totally clear and unobstructed readout of hours and minutes (and seconds at 6 o’clock).

Outer box, inner Patek chamois-lined snap-shut Presentation Box, together with protective Carrying Pouch in maroon suede.  Its Certificate of Origin dated May 2004, together with Instruction Manual are contained in the original Patek Philippe leather wallet. Just returned, still sealed, from a complete service by Patek Philippe.  Service papers dated April 2022, this lovely watch is truly ‘like new’ and perfect for stylish, everyday wear in any time-zone.
