Tudor Clair de Rose Watches
Tudor Clair de Rose watches exude timeless elegance and are designed to complement even the most unique of styles and tastes. These iconic timepieces take gentility to the dimension of unparalleled craftsmanship and are both stunningly beautiful and perfect in their performance.
The History of Tudor Clair de Rose Watches
Launched in 2013, Tudor Clair de Rose watches are designed to transport us to a sophisticated universe, while still providing the strength and reliability that the brand has become renowned for. Defined by the centre second hand that takes the form of a Tudor rose, the timepieces effortlessly exude charm. The cushion-shaped case, curving silhouette and domed sapphire crystal gives each wristwatch a soft and elegant appearance.
This idea of softness is further emphasised by the stylised cloud-inspired motif that adorns the dials that is applied using an extremely elaborate procedure, plus the use of rounded cut-out hands. The same motif is carried onto the fabric strap to add another layer of elegance. These early models were available in three sizes (26mm, 30mm or 34mm) and were available in steel or a two-tone steel and 18 karat pink gold. The mother of pearl dial, with or without a gem setting, available in Sky, White, Jade or Tahiti Pearl.
In 2017, Tudor fully revamped the Clair de Rose collection and returned to a more classic design that featured blue coloured hands, Roman numerals and a blue spinal set into the crown. The design of the dial itself is exquisite. The central area of radial guilloché corresponds to the seconds subdivisions, and likewise the most external ring of Clou de Paris relief decoration just outside the Roman numerals. Instead of ploughing head-on with colour, Tudor have gone for a more sobre and classic look, thanks to the watches’ silvered dial and stainless steel case.
Much like the original versions, the new Tudor Clair de Rose watches are available in 26mm, 30mm and 34mm casings. They are also waterproof up to 100m, which is central to founder Hans Wildorf’s philosophy that his companies’ timepieces should be impermeable to both water and dust. Equally commendable is the fact that all three variations are powered by self-winding mechanical movements that have a power reserve of around 38 hours. When it comes to straps, the wristwatches are available in a steel ‘grain of rice’ bracelet, a fabric strap with buckle and steel attachments, or a leather strap.
Made for a Lady with Exquisite Tastes
