Manual-winding manufacture calibre 430 MC movement with approximately 38 hour power reserve. Copper-effect dial with silver Roman numerals and chemin-de-fer minute track. Rhodium-finished steel sword-shaped hands. Central hours and minutes. Sapphire crystal glass. Caseback engraved with the handwritten signature of Alberto Santos-Dumont. The Cartier Santos-Dumont WGSA0113 continues the legacy of one of the most historically important wristwatches ever created. The original Cartier Santos was designed in 1904 by Louis Cartier for his friend, the pioneering aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, who required a practical way to read the time while flying.
