Black dial, with luminous hands, and hour markers. Rose gold outer minutes track, with domed sapphire crystal glass. The Tudor Black Bay was introduced in 2012 as part of Tudor’s Heritage line, created to honour the brand’s rich diving history while offering modern reliability. Drawing inspiration from iconic Tudor Submariner models of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, the Black Bay incorporates vintage elements such as the large “Big Crown,” snowflake hands, and domed crystal. Its design pays tribute to the tool watches once worn by professional divers and military forces, most notably the French Navy. The collection quickly became a flagship for Tudor, helping re-establish the brand’s global presence. In 2015, Tudor elevated the Black Bay further with the introduction of its in-house MT5602 movement, offering improved accuracy and a 70-hour power reserve. Over time, the line has expanded to include various sizes, materials, and complications, solidifying the Black Bay as a modern classic that blends heritage, craftsmanship, and everyday versatility.
