Self-winding chronometer-rated calibre 1575 movement with a 48 hour power reserve. Uni-directional stainless steel bezel with black anodised aluminium insert and silver 60-minute graduation. Black dial, luminescent hour markers and hands. Central hours, minutes and seconds hands. Sapphire crystal glass. Date window located at the 3 o’clock position. Stainless steel Oyster bracelet with folding clasp. Full set including original inner Rolex presentation box, Original outer cardboard box, guarantee papers, Green Rolex document wallet, serial tag, COSC tag, Rolex dive anchor, Original purchase receipt, and service papers. Box and papers dated December 1982. Service papers dated July 2009.

Dating to 1982, this Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 “Great White” comes from the final years of the original Sea-Dweller reference. Developed as a professional tool watch for saturation divers, the 1665 introduced Rolex’s helium escape valve and offered water resistance to 2,000 feet. The “Great White” variation appeared in the late 1970s, earning its nickname from the crisp all-white dial text that replaced the red lettering of the earlier “Double Red” models. It also removed the Submariner name from the dial, establishing the Sea-Dweller as a distinct collection and marking an important transitional chapter in Rolex’s celebrated diving-watch heritage.
